Pumping cement with a Verderair double diaphragm pump

Cement consists of the raw materials sand, shale, iron, ore, clay and industrial by-products. The main ingredient however, is limestone. Cement is the binding substance to keep together the raw materials (sand, gravel, crushed rocks, water and chemical additives) for concrete production. Pumping cement can cause many problems.

Pumping of cement can cause many problems. Cement slurry is a very abrasive product. Verderair diaphragm pumps are excellent pumps for pumping cement. The material choice for the wetted parts is huge. Ball valves, seats, diaphragms, all wetted parts are available in a large choice of materials preventing abrasion for each application. A good example of pumping cement slurry with a Verderair double diaphragm pump is the spraying of walls with a mixture of bentonite and mortar. The waste of the cement slurry is collected in the basement. A Verderair double diaphragm pump moves  the cement slurry out of the basement to the first floor.
